March Birthstone Spotlight: Aquamarine

Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for seawater, and ancient mariners claimed the gem would calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea.  The look of Aquamarine itself evokes the colors of the sea. From deep teal to light, slightly greenish blue hues, they are worn both rough cut or faceted.

Aquamarine is one of the most beloved stones and a favorite for all to wear. This gemstone is also thought to protect one’s general well-being by making the wearer unconquerable and amiable, to bring happiness in marriage, and to quicken the intellect.
